Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. The position features a 13-week contract, 36 hours weekly, with a 12-hour night shift.

The RN will perform assessments, educate patients and families, document care, and participate in discharge planning while ensuring safety and high-quality care. BLS and ACLS are required, with at least two years of bedside experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to help develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient education needs through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in medical records.
• Participate in and support the patient rehabilitation program, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate any changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to hospital safety policies.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and participate in activities that foster a supportive work environment.
• Assume charge responsibility as needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and education.
