Job summary

ARMStaffing seeks a travel nurse RN for an ICU Stepdown unit in Winston-Salem, NC. This 13-week travel assignment features 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, starting 10/05/2026, with a focus on critical care in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires ICU/Stepdown experience, arterial line management, vasoactive drip titration, telemetry, and strong IV and sedation skills to support diverse patient needs while maintaining stringent safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an ICU/Stepdown environment.
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Experience in managing acute patient conditions including respiratory distress and hemodynamic instability.
• Proficient in cardiac and vasoactive drip titration.
• Strong IV start skills and experience with conscious sedation.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients requiring arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV insulin and blood products as needed.
• Perform central and peripheral line care and management.
• Utilize rapid response teams effectively as patient situations demand.
• Provide care for a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and proper PPE usage.
