Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a 13-week assignment in Winston-Salem, NC, with a 36-hour week and 12-hour nights. The ICU/Stepdown unit requires strong critical care skills, arterial line and vasoactive drip management, telemetry, and comprehensive patient care across age groups.

The ideal candidate holds ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications, with at least 2 years in ICU/Stepdown and experience with acute respiratory failure and hemodynamic instability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an ICU/Stepdown environment.
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• Experience in managing acute patient conditions including respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, and post-operative care.
• Proficient in arterial/central line management and vasoactive drip titration.
• Strong IV start skills and experience with conscious sedation.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients requiring arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV insulin and blood products as needed.
• Perform central and peripheral line care and management.
• Utilize rapid response teams effectively as patient situations demand.
• Provide care for a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and proper PPE usage.
