American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Whole House Float position covering ICU, PCU, and MS units at a Level I trauma teaching hospital in Virginia. This night-shift role involves 3x12-hour shifts with Epic charting and frequent cross-unit floating.

Candidates must hold a Virginia state or compact license, with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, and have 2+ years ICU experience in a large trauma facility. Housing allowance and travel benefits available.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia State or Compact RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; CPI preferred.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience in a large Level I/II trauma facility.
• Experience with high patient ratios and cross-unit float.
• Ventilator management and invasive line care experience.

Responsibilities

• Float across ICU, PCU, and MS units as needed.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (evenings).
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Maintain patient ratios and provide ICU-level care.
• Travel within facility coverage and adhere to scheduling.
• Work at a Magnet-designated Level I Trauma teaching hospital.
