Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking an ICU RN for a travel assignment in Key West, Florida. This travel position runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, primarily night shifts and 12-hour blocks.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, and BLS & ACLS certification with at least 18 months of recent ICU experience. Other client-specific requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to patients and families
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes)
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for distress
• Administer medications, IVs and insert catheters as needed
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for prompt changes in condition
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively
