Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for ICU - Intensive Care Unit in Long Beach, California. The role offers a 13-week assignment with nights, 12-hour shifts and a travel employment type.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least 18 months of ICU experience in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Active RN License is required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS & ACLS Certification are required.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures to control changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
