Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, in partnership with Lifepoint Health, is seeking skilled travel nurses to join a hospital team in Wilson, North Carolina. Assignments are 8, 10, or 13 weeks based on facility needs and are designed to support patient care across disciplines.

Essential requirements include at least one year of acute care experience, a current state nursing license, and certifications as required for the position.

Qualifications

• One year of acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Must hold a current state nursing license.
• Certifications as required for specific position are preferred.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Must demonstrate code of conduct and compliance with policies.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care, documenting care given
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
• Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
