Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel ICU RN for a 13-week assignment in Lexington, NC. You will provide comprehensive critical care to ICU patients on a travel basis with strong clinical judgment and teamwork.

The role requires one year of ICU experience, current RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Travel clinicians receive competitive pay, benefits, and robust support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent ICU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing changes in condition.
• Administer complex medications and treatments per critical care protocols.
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments.
• Document assessments and interventions promptly to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, CVP, PA catheters).
• Educate patients and families about ICU care and recovery expectations.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures through ongoing education.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope.
