Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut is required.
• BLS is required, with specialized certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs age-specific plan of care for a designated group of patients using nursing process.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team members to coordinate and implement procedures and treatments.
• Assesses physiologic and psychosocial health status; develops patient outcomes and plans of care.
• Implements and evaluates the plan of care, ensuring safety and appropriate use of resources.
• Documents care and communicates with patient, family, and care team; supports discharge planning.
