Flagstar Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN specialized in ICU for a Columbus, Ohio assignment. This 13-week travel role requires 40 hours per week with a night shift pattern of three 12-hour days, offering comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or higher, 2+ years in critical care, an RN license in good standing, and current BLS/ACLS; CCRN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care or ICU nursing experience.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care to critically ill patients, including those on mechanical ventilation, experiencing multi-organ failure, sepsis, respiratory distress, or post-surgical complications.
• Continuously monitor patient hemodynamics through invasive lines and manage vasoactive medications to stabilize patients effectively.
• Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Assist and perform bedside procedures such as central line insertion, arterial line placement, lumbar punctures, and bronchoscopies.
• Ensure strict adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
