Job summary

Healthforce seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a MICU travel assignment in Clearlake, CA. Start 10/12/2026 for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a 3x12-hour night shift (6:00 PM–6:30 AM).

Responsibilities include ICU patient assessment, plan of care, medication administration, and EPIC EMR documentation. Requires CA RN license, ACLS/BLS/PALS, and 2+ years ICU experience; on-site ICU in a critical access hospital.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications or completion within six months of hire.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Minimum two years ICU experience or completion of an approved ICU training program.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan nursing care for ICU patients across age groups; coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
• Implement evidence-based nursing care, monitor status, and adjust plans with physicians and staff.
• Administer medications and therapies; monitor for adverse effects and document responses.
• Document care in EPIC EMR with accurate charting; ensure confidentiality and regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, nursing staff, and families; participate in handoffs.
• Maintain unit standards, infection control, safety protocols; participate in shift coverage without on-call.
