Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in California. Requires 2+ years of ICU experience and active CA RN licensure.

Responsibilities include caring for an 8-bed ICU, patient ratios of 1:1-2, and self-scheduling for 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7:30am). Proficiency with Cerner EMR and ventilators is required; on-call and floating may apply.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
• Experience with ventilators including Galileo and G5 models.
• Cerner EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• 8-bed Intensive Care Unit in an acute care hospital setting.
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2.
• Charge nurse available for break relief but generally does not take patients.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• 12-hour night shifts, 7pm-7:30am, with self-scheduling finalized by manager.
• Every other weekend required.
• Rotates holiday coverage with core staff.
• Floating required to other Sacramento area facilities.
