Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool in Prescott, AZ, covering ICU, Tele, and PCU units with 12-hour night shifts. The role requires strong titratable drip management in an acute care setting and a willingness to travel.

The position is a travel assignment of 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and per diem support. Arizona RN licensure and BLS/ACLS are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license required at time of application.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting.
• Experience titrating drips such as heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, nitro, dopamine, dobutamine, and insulin.
• Proficiency in central line dressing changes and Foley catheter sterile technique will be tested at orientation.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care float pool covering ICU, Med/Surg Tele, and PCU units at two campuses.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 in PCU and 1:5-6 in Med/Surg Tele.
• Caring for patients in inpatient holds in the ED may be required.
• 6-week published schedules; night shift with every other weekend.
