Job summary

Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Histology Technologist for a placement in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves supporting pathology laboratory operations including specimen receipt, processing, embedding, sectioning, and slide staining.

The candidate will work a day shift (5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday, on a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week. ASCP HT/HLT certification and at least 2 years histology experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in histology.
• ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histology Technician (HLT).
• Formal histology technologist training program or an associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens from surgery and accession them.
• Process and embed tissue; cut tissue sections.
• Stain slides and support pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry activities.
