Job Summary:
Histologist Location: The position is based in a scenic region renowned for its natural beauty and excellent quality of life. This role involves performing tissue preparation and staining procedures to assist pathologists in diagnostic processes. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of tissue slides and maintaining laboratory equipment and records.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 5 days per week (Sunday night through Thursday night), with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in cytotechnology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelors degree), 5+ years of experience in histology techniques such as microtomy, embedding, special stains, and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Licenses or certifications, such as American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Histology Technician certification, are preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree, experience in cytology, histology, or related fields.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include preparing tissue sections for microscopic examination, staining tissue and pap smear slides, operating precision equipment, preparing solutions, and maintaining laboratory instrumentation. The position emphasizes quality control, safety, and cost-effective laboratory practices.
