Job Summary:

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evenings, 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in a pathology laboratory setting, successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences, and certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in histology (HT/HLT).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cytology and immunohistochemistry (IHC), knowledge of Cerner accessioning system, and prior experience with tissue processing, embedding, and slide staining.
• Additional Information: The role involves receiving specimens from surgery, accessioning specimens into laboratory information systems, collecting tissue blocks from pathology staff, processing tissue, embedding, cutting, and staining slides as part of routine histology procedures. Candidates are required to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
