Job summary

Patriot Surveying, LLC. seeks a self-driven SUE Level B Technician to support nationwide infrastructure projects. You will operate GPR systems and EM locators, independently locate utilities, and collaborate with field crews to ensure accurate data collection.

You will mark features on plans, coordinate with clients, and lead safety briefings while maintaining gear and completing daily reports. Extensive travel and field work are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in utility locating or SUE fieldwork preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive utility location (Level B) using GPR and EM locators.
• Mark, document, and sketch horizontal position and depth of utilities on plans or field sketches.
• Coordinate with Survey Field Crews, clients, and project managers to ensure precise mapping.
• Set up traffic control, deliver safety briefings, and maintain QA/QC on site.
• Maintain, calibrate, and care for locating equipment and company vehicles; complete daily reports.
