Job summary

UES is seeking an energetic SUE Technician I to support geophysical investigations and VDC projects. You will assist with fieldwork, data collection, and documentation to help ensure regulatory compliance and client satisfaction.

You will work alongside senior staff, gain hands‑on experience in utility locating, environmental science, and engineering tasks, and travel frequently to job sites and regional offices.

Qualifications

• Experience with underground utility locating and SUE processes.
• Familiarity with reading record drawings and site plans.
• Ability to operate field equipment under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform SUE quality level B investigations using GPR, EMI, magnetics, and GNSS.
• Read record drawings, as-builts, and site plans relevant to underground utilities.
• Support field monitoring activities, including equipment setup and calibration.
• Record and organize field data and assist in basic reports.
• Follow procedures for testing and sampling to ensure reliable results.
• Learn and apply safety standards and environmental regulations.
