Job summary

MPC in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks a Construction and Maintenance Welder Technician to weld 6010/7018 downhill/uphill on mainline piping and support remediation and in-service repairs. Responsibilities

• Weld 6010/7018 downhill/uphill on mainline piping and pass API 1104 qualification tests.
• Analyze drawings and blueprints to plan welding operations with calculations.
• Perform pipeline maintenance: manual labor, bolting, torquing and hydrostatic testing.
• Assist in rigging, line exposure during excavation and coating removal/application.
• Provide field support to MPL processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Weld in shop, right of way, excavated holes, or pipeline facilities as needed.
