Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist to perform commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary equipment at various customer sites. This role involves up to 100% travel and being on-call to ensure continuous hydrogen production.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial hydrogen systems, and can interact with customers and vendors professionally.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in electrical, industrial, or mechanical field.
• Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or related field preferred (or 2 additional years of relevant experience).
• Ability to travel up to 100% as needed for duties.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, testing and commissioning of Plug Power products.
• Lead high level service repair projects on hydrogen infrastructure and perform specialized repairs.
• Provide training to first responders, customers, and service personnel on troubleshooting and maintenance of hydrogen systems.
• Interpret electrical wiring schematics and P&IDs; conduct testing and functional checks; inspect piping systems and safety requirements.
• Document results from testing and commissioning and manage project task lists.
