Job summary

Mycronic is seeking an experienced Field Services Engineer to join its PCB Assembly Solutions Division in Dallas, TX. You will install, maintain, and repair Mycronic equipment at customer sites, interface with customers and sales staff, and travel 50-75% to support deployments and service contracts.

The role requires a technical background in electronics and SMT, strong communication, and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or at least three years related experience.
• Three years related experience with surface mount technology, electronics and/or robotics.
• Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle.
• Mechanical assembly and basic maintenance experience.
• Proven mechanical, electrical and computer competency.
• Experience or training/certification in computers and Microsoft Windows environments

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Mycronic products on customer premises or at facility.
• Install and set up Mycronic PCBA Assembly systems and software at customers' facility.
• Provide trade show support with equipment setup and temporary cabling.
• Perform pre-site inspection, preventative maintenance and customer care for service contracts.
• Maintain records in FSM software reflecting service history.
• Maintain assigned assets such as laptop, phone, tools, and parts.
• Document warranty claims and return defective parts to depots.
• Communicate with key personnel at accounts to stay current on issues.
• Escalate support issues to management.
• Develop and maintain knowledge and skills for high-level customer service.
• Collaborate with customers, staff, and field support to maximize satisfaction.
• Meet targets set by regional managers
