Job summary

Leidos Inc. in Reston, Virginia, seeks a Field Engineer to support the FAA's BNATCS Radar Surveillance Replacement (RSR) program.

You will represent the program office at sites and support installation and disposition activities at major airports, advising contractors on design drawings and the SOW. Requirements include a Bachelor's (or Master's with relevant experience), formal radar training and FAA radar certification, and extensive field radar experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years.
• Experience with research, design, and development of electrical equipment and systems.
• Completion of formal Radar training at the FAA Academy.
• Radar certification authority at one or more airports.
• Hands-on field experience on Radar systems in the active NAS.
• Understanding FAA risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Represent the PO at RSR sites, executing to a multi-site schedule.
• Serve as an RSR SME to the program office, implementation and engineering leads.
• Participate in site planning and visits, develop site implementation plans.
• Provide onsite installation consultation and advise contractors per SOW.
