Job summary

UCFS seeks a Child First Clinician to support families through trauma-informed care in Eastern Connecticut. You will partner with a Care Coordinator to foster protective caregiver–child relationships and focus on healing from trauma, understanding developmental challenges, and enhancing family dynamics.

The role is full-time with travel and remote time, requiring strong communication and use of EHR systems. CT licensure and a Master’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (M.A., M.F.T., M.S.W.).
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a related setting.
• CT state LMSW, LPCA or LMFTA licensure required.
• Access to transportation for 75% travel to New London, Windham, and Middlesex counties.
• Ability to work two late nights per week and possibly weekends.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and able to learn new platforms.
• Experience with EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat mental, emotional, developmental, and behavioral issues in young children and families.
• Develop and review treatment plans based on assessments.
• Participate in the Child First learning collaborative and training activities.
• Collaborate with providers and community partners to strengthen services.
• Respond to client crises during work hours and on-call to support family stabilization.
• Maintain up-to-date case records and timely data entry per funder requirements.
