Job summary

Quest International is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical and diagnostic equipment at customer locations throughout the Washington, D.C. area.

This role suits technicians who enjoy troubleshooting, traveling to service sites, and independently resolving problems. This full-time, direct-hire position requires travel up to 80% (including overnight), a valid driver’s license, and a reliable personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on repair, maintenance, installation, or field-service experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, or electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and follow service manuals, diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, and mechanical failures.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and replace failed parts.
• Document service activity, results, parts used, and follow-up requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
