Job summary

ProAutomated in Covington, GA is expanding its field service team to support customers across North America. This role is travel-intensive and hands-on, focusing on startup, testing, and commissioning of automation systems.

You will collaborate with engineers, perform on-site checks, and travel in varied rotations. A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience is required, with opportunities for merit-based raises and growth.

Qualifications

• Must have a technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience (3+ years) in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
• Willingness to travel across North America for field work.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to relocate within commuting distance to airports.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups, performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate their systems on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams to keep progress smooth and accurate.
• Travel rotations: 5 on - 2 off, 10 on - 4 off, or 14 on - 7 off, with varying locations.
• Work with various customers, gaining real-world experience with large companies while being supported by ProAutomated.
