Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer or Technician. This travel-ready role is based in Westminster, CO or Albuquerque, NM and focuses on hands-on commissioning, wiring QA/QC, and start-up activities.

New graduates or those with 0–2 years of field experience will gain exposure to PLC/SCADA, control systems, and instrumentation, with strong mentorship and rapid growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical, Computer, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• New Graduate (May 2027) or 0–2 years of field experience.
• Exposure to field instrumentation, hardware panels, and low voltage controls.
• Understanding of control systems, PLC and SCADA programming and their applications.

Responsibilities

• Installation wiring QA/QC verification for control panels and field devices.
• Point-to-point testing and device configuration across the system.
• Functional performance testing of control systems and field devices.
• System-level testing support using the SCADA system and related tools.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and customers during testing and start-up.
