Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel ER RN for a 13-week assignment in Ishpeming, MI. The ER RN delivers rapid-response patient care in a busy ED, assessing conditions, initiating care plans, and collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure safe, efficient treatment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent ER RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and exams
• Monitor patient comfort and safety in ED and respond to needs
• Document patient conditions and interventions in EMR
• Initiate patient education plans according to needs
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
