Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED – Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in South Hill, Virginia. You will work 12‑hour nights within the Emergency Department, covering a 36‑hour work week as a travel RN.

This assignment emphasizes rapid assessment, stabilization and teamwork in a busy ED setting. Preferred candidates have active RN licenses and 18+ months of ED experience, with BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC as required by the client facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Assess, intervene and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Understand triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including physical and mental health conditions.
• Provide care in the Emergency Department for patients with emergency conditions.
