Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. Start date 11/02/2026 for 13 weeks with 36 guaranteed hours per week and night, 12-hour shifts on a 3-night cycle.

You will work in a high-volume ED with float opportunities to med/surg, step-down, or ICU as needed. Responsibilities include triage, rapid assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the ED team to ensure throughput and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a facility of similar size and level 1 trauma capability.
• BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Active RN license (in good standing) to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume ED and float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy ED, including triage, rapid assessment, continuous monitoring, and appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, assist with procedures, and support trauma activations as part of the ED team.
• Manage boarder patients and coordinate care with inpatient units, consultants, and ancillary services to optimize throughput and safety.
• Float to approved units (med/surg, step-down, ICU) when requested, maintaining competency across areas as needed.
• Document in the electronic medical record, ensure accurate handoffs, and educate patients and families as appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to maintain high-quality patient care and adherence to ED protocols and safety standards.
