Job summary

Cross Country Nurses seeks a travel nurse RN for the ED in Long Beach, CA. This 13-week travel assignment includes 36 hours weekly across 12-hour night shifts in a Level II trauma center, handling complex acute cases and utilizing EPIC charting.

Requires 2.5+ years ER experience, CA license, and proficiencies in arterial lines, vent care, sedation, ABGs, dysrhythmias, and trauma/stroke care. Local candidates may be offered a lower billing rate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.5 years ER experience in a large Level II trauma center.
• 3 shifts of 12 hours per week with nights.
• CA license required; local candidates at lower billing rate.

Responsibilities

• Arterial line management and care of ventilated patients.
• Blood product administration and procedural sedation.
• Neurotrauma, stroke, and trauma management in ED.
• Pediatric ED care and EPIC charting proficiency.
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias; maintain isolation precautions.
• Manage invasive lines and monitors; readiness to float per census.
