Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Long Beach, California. The position is a 13-week assignment with 48 hours per week and night shifts in a busy Level II trauma center.

Requirements include a California RN license, 2.5+ years in a large Level II trauma center, and certifications BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC. Neonate to geriatric care is supported with a census of about 310 visits daily.

Qualifications

• Valid California RN license in hand.
• Minimum 2.5 years of experience in a large level II trauma center.
• Proficiency in arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, blood product administration, sedation administration/monitoring, ABG interpretation and dysrhythmias.
• Trauma and pediatric emergency care experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), PALS, TNCC.
• Preferred: EMR Epic experience; trauma certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care in a busy Level II trauma center during night shifts.
• Float within the hospital as census dictates.
• Ensure compliance with trauma/pediatric care protocols.
