American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 13-week night assignment in Illinois. Active IL RN license required with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications; SANE certification required as of January 2023. Cerner EMR experience is preferred.

The role involves a busy ER with 11 beds, handling ~40 patients per day, on 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour week. Cerner charting is used; occasional floating with no mandatory call.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required.
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience required.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• SANE certification required as of January 2023.
• Cerner EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• ER with 11 beds/trauma bays in acute care setting.
• Average of 40 patients treated per day.
• Nurse to patient ratio 1:3 or 1:4.
• 12-hour night shifts (36-hour week).
• Use Cerner EMR charting system.
• Occasional floating to tasks; no mandatory call.
