Job summary

American Traveler is an experienced RN recruiter for an Emergency Department position on the night shift in Tennessee. The role requires ACLS, BLS, ENPC, HWC, PALS, and TNCC certifications and an active RN license (TN or Compact).

Responsibilities include a 7-bed ED unit, 5:1 patient ratio, EDIS EHR usage, and strict shift timing (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Candidates must live 60+ miles away for travel pay and meet facility insurance and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TN or Compact).
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, HWC, PALS, TNCC.
• Minimum 1+ years of ER experience required.
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Emergency Department serving all patient ages.
• 7-bed unit with 2 psych rooms and 2 hall beds.
• Patient ratio of 5:1.
• Uses EDIS EHR system.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• As-needed call requirements.
• As-needed float requirements.
• 95-bed, Joint Commission-accredited acute care facility.
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays.
• Scrubs of any color accepted, with standard hospital dress code restrictions on outerwear with logos, hoodies, open-toed shoes, and loose jewelry.
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate.
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time.
