American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift in Kentucky. Requires KY or compact licensure, 2+ years ER experience, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, CPI. Expect rotations, on-call travel, and a generous benefits package.

Responsibilities include treating mixed adult and pediatric ED patients, cardio monitoring, and managing acutely ill or injured individuals with a 1:4 ratio. Local candidates not accepted; 75+ miles away required.

Qualifications

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years ER experience with 3–6 months Level IV trauma+ exposure.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, CPI.
• Flu vaccine required; exemptions may be approved case-by-case.
• Experience handling psychiatric emergencies including acute psychosis, suicidality, holds, violence.
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, intubation.
• Pediatric emergency experience including asthma, infections, behavioral health.
• Orthopedic trauma care including splinting.
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and sedation monitoring.
• Triage and isolation precautions/PPE experience.
• Two professional references: one Charge or higher and one supervisor (within last year).

Responsabilités

• General ED care for mixed adult and pediatric patients.
• Maintain patient ratio 1:4.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM; 84 hours per two weeks.
• Float within scope of practice.
• Every other weekend required.
• Cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia management and 12-lead ECG.
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of acute presentations.
• Must reside at least 75 miles away from the facility; locals not accepted.
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront with no changes accepted.
• Must work major or minor shifts on every holiday.
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis; not scheduled on same shift.
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
