Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Free-Standing ED in Texas. Night shift 7 PM–7 AM with rotating weekends, 32+ bed facility, diverse trauma and acute presentations.

Requires TX license and current certifications (TNCC/ENPC/ACLS/BLS/NIHSS) by start date; minimum 1 year ED experience, 2+ years preferred. No 90-day gaps; Meditech EMR used; strong team culture and travel housing options.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, and NIHSS required by start date.
• Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required.
• Greater than 2 years of experience preferred.
• Experience with LPs, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting preferred.
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Free-Standing Emergency Department with 32+ beds.
• Unit staffed with CNCs, RNs, Medics, and PCTs across all shifts.
• Patient ratio of 4:1.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Rotating weekends required, 4 shifts per schedule.
• No on-call requirements.
• Provide emergency care across a range of acute and trauma presentations.
• Strong team-oriented culture valuing anticipation of patient and department needs.
• Scrub color is Navy Blue with Navy Blue zip-up sweater; pullover sweatshirts not permitted.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted.
• One professional reference required for consideration.
