American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position in Texas. Requires a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience. BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required; other certifications may be needed.

A 13-week assignment with a 11:00-23:30 shift is offered, with Epic charting and Navy scrubs policy. Candidates must reside in the US with a US home address; local radius rules may affect pay rate.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA).
• NRP, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications may be required.
• Ascension CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) training may be required.
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required.
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start required.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department-Trauma unit with 55 beds.
• 13-week assignment with an 11:00-23:30 shift schedule.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Navy scrubs required.
• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, and monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Local candidates accepted, subject to a facility radius rule that may affect pay rate.
• Candidates must reside in the US and provide a US home address.
