Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Registered Nurse to support the Lewiston, Maine ED during nights on a 12-week assignment.

The role requires oversight of ED operations, safe patient care, staffing coordination, and staff development, with rounds to ensure a positive patient experience.

Candidates must hold an active RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications and ED experience. Compensation offers up to $672–$768 per shift and $56–$64 per hour depending on factors.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital ED setting.
• ED experience in an ED setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness.
• Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.
