American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a Level IV Trauma Center in Austin, TX. Requires at least 1 year of ED experience and an active TX or compact RN license. BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required, with Nursys verification within 30 days of start.

The role is in a 400+ bed urban hospital with 30 ED beds, offering 24/7 triage, a fast track, and complex cardiac/ortho/spine/cancer services. 13-week assignment with Navy blue scrubs; benefits include insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA required).
• At least 1 year of experience as an Emergency Department RN.
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 30-bed Emergency Department within a 400+ bed hospital in urban Austin, TX.
• Site specializes in advanced cardiac, ortho/spine, oncology, and maternal fetal care.
• ED operations include 24/7 triage and charge RNs with a fast track.
• Maintain patient safety, document changes, and communicate updates to the team.
• Deliver direct patient care as an RN per clinical protocols and quality standards.
• Coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team for safe transitions.
