Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Independence, IA. The ER RN will deliver rapid-response patient care in a fast-paced emergency department, with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Required qualifications include 1 year ER RN experience, U.S. RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS. Travel assignment offers housing options and 24/7 recruiter support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an ER RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations (Iowa).
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and examinations.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the ED stay.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
• Initiate patient education plans as needed in acute care.
