Job summary

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) delivers rapid-response, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This travel assignment in Tyndall, SD, spans 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, requiring strong clinical skills and teamwork to ensure patient safety and efficient care.

Qualifications

• One year of ER RN experience required.
• Active RN license in applicable state regulations.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival.
• Explain emergency procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications per protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety in the ED.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
