Job summary

TotalMed RN in Houston is seeking an Emergency Room travel nurse (RN ED) for an immediate assignment. Expect acute care responsibilities in a fast-paced ER with competency in triage, assessment and physician-guided care. Shift lengths and 12-hour schedules are standard for travel contracts.

Candidates should have ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC/ENPC certifications and at least 1 year of ER or acute care experience. TotalMed offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package to support travel nurses

Qualifications

• Emergency care experience in fast-paced settings.
• Ability to evaluate, triage and implement care per physician instructions.
• Documentation of medical history and vital signs, care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside ER care and patient assessment.
• Perform IV therapy and wound care as needed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; document patient information.
