Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia. The RN will work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, for a 13-week assignment, in the ED setting.

Requirements include an active RN license, degree from an accredited nursing program, and 18 months of emergency room experience. BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC may be required. Benefits and travel logistics are provided by MedPro.

Qualifications

• Active RN License.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Emergency Room setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Room RN duties include assessing and stabilizing patients with life-threatening conditions.
• Ability to recognize and treat trauma and medical emergencies.
• Understand triage to prioritize injuries based on need.
• Make quick, accurate assessments of incoming patients including physical and mental health conditions.
