Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a day shift position in Wisconsin, requiring TNCC/TNS and ACLS/PALS certifications. The role includes a 13-week assignment with day and night shifts and rotating weekends, in an acute care hospital setting.

Position emphasizes use of nursing process, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and adherence to standards of care. Competitive benefits and housing support are offered.

Qualifications

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS

Responsibilities

• Emergency Room setting in a hospital and medical center
• Day shift hours of 6a-6p and 8a-8p with rotating weekends
• 13-week assignment
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and standards of care
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance in support of patients' longitudinal plan of care
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and elevate concerns through appropriate chain of command
• Participate in professional nursing continuum, unit practice activities, and peer review processes
