Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital in Maine. A ME or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience are required.

Responsibilities include patient care across neonates to geriatrics, 1:4 RN ratio, and shift coverage with cross-trained support; travel and on-site orientation provided with Cerner EMR and multiple monitors and pumps.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ME State or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC and NRP preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of ED experience; 2 years preferred.
• Skills include managing ICU hold overs, insulin and cardiac/vasoactive drips, central lines, BiPAP, ventilator settings with MD oversight, procedural sedation, RSI levels, and triaging.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 15-bed critical access ED with 10 M/S, 5 Tele, and 4 ED beds.
• Provide care to neonates through geriatrics; handle abdominal pain, CHF, chest pain, trauma, respiratory illness, seizures, and holds.
• Maintain RN staffing with 1:4 patient ratio; support from cross-trained Med-Surg RNs.
