Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking an experienced RN for a 14-week temporary Emergency Department assignment. Nights, 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend.

Primary RN role with no scheduled around another job and a strong emphasis on acute care bedside skills. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher, current VA RN license, and required certifications (TNCC, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS).

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse eligible to practice in VA
• AT LEAST 2 years of RECENT bedside acute care EMERGENCY DEPT experience as an RN
• TNCC, ACLS, BLS NIHSS REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, coordinate care and evaluate patient outcomes
• Collaborate with ED team to ensure safety and quality of care
