Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The role requires Maine licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS upon hire, with ED experience preferred.

You will oversee ED operations, manage staffing and patient flow, and provide direct care as needed to maintain safe staffing levels. The position offers paid weekly payroll and opportunities to work with award-winning hospital partners across the nation, with dedicated career specialists

Qualifications

• RN license required to practice in the state.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness; coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.
