Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Electrophysiology Lab Tech for a 13-week assignment in Austin, TX. The role involves assisting in EP studies, ablations, and device implantations while ensuring patient safety and compliant care within a fast-paced cath lab environment.

The position requires 1 year of EP Lab experience, BLS, ACLS, and ARRT/RCIS/RCES certifications, with preferred Radiology licensure and ENPC/PALS credentials. Travel benefits and competitive pay are provided.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent EP Lab Tech experience.
• Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) certification.
• ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Preferred: Radiologic Technologist license (state regulations).
• Preferred: PALS or ENPC certifications.
• Other certifications may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for EP lab patients and document findings.
• Educate patients and families on electrophysiology procedures and post-procedure care to ensure understanding and informed consent.
• Assist physicians with electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implantations.
• Administer medications, including conscious sedation, per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with equipment preparation, setup, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans.
• Provide immediate post-procedure care and monitor for complications.
