A Medical Emergency Room (ER) Nurse is needed in the Emergency Room specialty at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality care for trauma, stroke, sepsis, congestive heart failure, and cardiac patients in a fast-paced environment with a patient volume of approximately 80-90 patients daily. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic setting focused on acute care.

Job Details

• Position Description: The role involves managing patient care in a busy Emergency Room with a 24-bed trauma bay area, including a separate triage process where travelers may occasionally assist. The ER manages in-house security, handles various critical cases, and requires self-scheduling for day shifts with every other weekend and holiday requirements.
• Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, 2 years of ER experience, valid license to submit, and the ability to work day shifts for 12 hours with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience managing trauma and stroke patients, familiarity with Paragon electronic medical records, and experience in a similar fast-paced ER environment.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours, with a minimum of 48 hours per week, starting from 10/19/2026 to 11/30/2026.
• Additional Responsibilities: The ER staff may include physicians/mid-level providers, charge nurses, nurse aides, paramedics, and patient sitters. RTs perform ABGs and breathing treatments, and RN staff are responsible for ECG rhythm interpretation and patient monitoring.
