ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Corpus Christi, Texas. The contract is 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour day shifts (7A-7P).

The Registered Nurse will deliver high-quality emergency care, with quick decision-making, in a fast-paced setting. Requires active RN license, BLS, ALS, TNCC, CPI or equivalent, and preferred PALS/ENPC.

Qualifications

• RN license current and active.
• BLS, ALS, TNCC certifications required.
• CPI or equivalent certification preferred.
• PALS or ENCP certification preferred.
• Experience with airway management and ventilators is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and reassessments.
• Administer medications and start IVs.
• Provide wound care and splinting as needed.
• Document and coordinate with EMT-Ps and healthcare team.
• Identify and manage sepsis, STEMI, stroke, trauma rapidly.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on patient safety and compassion. The role requires quick decision-making and effective communication with the healthcare team, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments and reassessments of patients.
• Administer medications and manage IV starts.
• Provide wound care and splinting as required.
• Engage in documentation and oversight of emergency medical technicians (EMT-Ps).
• Rapidly identify and manage conditions such as Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
• Experience with airway management and ventilators preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills essential.
