Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an EEG Technologist with 2+ years of experience to provide EEG services in inpatient and outpatient settings. The position requires BLS certification, knowledge of medical terminology, and Wisconsin licensure if applicable.

Responsibilities include EEG setup and takedown, EMG/nerve studies assistance, and coverage of adult ICU, inpatient, outpatient, and ED. Shifts are 3:00 PM–11:00 PM on weekdays with on-call duties; travel or local candidates considered within 50

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of EEG technologist experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Medical terminology knowledge required.
• Wisconsin or Compact license required if applicable, pending license accepted with completion required during compliance.
• NIHSS certification may be pending but must be completed during compliance.
• Epic charting system experience preferred.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Experience with electrode placement, EEG setup, seizure studies and related tests.
• Experience assisting with EMG/nerve conduction studies preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot EEG equipment.

Responsibilities

• Community hospital setting covering adult ICU, inpatient, outpatient, and ED.
• Provide EEG setup and take down services for outpatient and hospital inpatients.
• Assist with EMG/nerve conduction studies as needed.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Evening shifts 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (5x8).
• Weekday and weekend on-call requirements with flexibility.
• Must be comfortable training a new EEG staff member.
• Local candidates within 50 miles at a reduced rate.
• Travelers may return to this facility after a minimum 1 year separation.
• Travel pairs accepted.
• Badge photo required within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
• Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance.

American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with 2+ years experience to provide EEG services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, requiring BLS certification and Epic experience preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of EEG technologist experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Medical terminology knowledge required
• Wisconsin or Compact license required if applicable, pending license accepted with completion required during compliance
• NIHSS certification may be pending but must be completed during compliance
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Skilled in electrode placement, portable recording, seizure studies, sleep deprived EEG, ambulatory EEG, and evoked potentials
• Experience assisting with EMG/nerve conduction studies preferred
• Experience with ECI brain death procedures preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot EEG equipment

Responsibilities

• Community hospital setting covering adult ICU, adult inpatient, adult outpatient, and Emergency Department areas
• Provide EEG setup and take down services for outpatient and hospital inpatient patients
• Assist with EMG/nerve conduction studies as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 5x8 hour evening shifts, most likely 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Weekday and weekend on-call requirements, with flexibility to meet hospital needs
• Must be comfortable training a new EEG staff member
• Candidate will provide flexible coverage to meet hospital scheduling needs
• Facility cannot accommodate latex allergies
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced rate
• Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1 year separation from a previous assignment
• Travel pairs accepted
